Building Leaders

Leaders will be selected for each summer camp Maven Youth will host.  Camps are both in-person and virtual.

Leaders will work in a group of 4 to provide free summer tech camps for LGBT+ Youth across the country

Leaders will be trained by Maven Youth staff on tech competencies such as coding, digital art, game development.

 All leaders will attend leadership retreats and trainings from March to the start of summer camp season.

Leaders who will be traveling with Maven Youth will have all their travel expenses covered (flights /housing/ meals).   Leaders must adhered to COVID requirements of travel and testing.  Youth leaders are not required to travel for in-person, they can lead only virtual if they like.

All Camp Leaders will be paid a stipend for their commitment to the program. 

Stipend Breakdown:

$375 for completing Leadership Trainings & Retreats

$600 for each camp selected for leadership

$250 for each 8hr Ren'py Training (virtual)

Maven Youth will be hosting 3 virtual info sessions.  These Zoom Calls will provide information about leadership and provide time for questions you may have before you apply.
